Atlantic Language Galway was established in 1993 and has developed a reputation for its friendly and personal atmosphere, together with its attention to high academic standards of English teaching. However, our goal is to give the student more than just English Language Tuition.

TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS OF ENGLISH

2 week course
20 lessons, 15 hours per week
09.00 to 12.30 Monday to Friday
Social and Cultural content (afternoons)
Coffee break 10.30 to 11.00
Lunch break 12.30 to 13.30

This course deals with general teaching methodologies and techniques.
The course is suitable for Secondary School Teachers.
Teachers on this course will be given the opportunity to observe experienced teachers in the class room.
The Course content can be adjusted for different teachers needs.

General Business English

(same format and price as GE2-interesting business topics) Students will study Intensive English in the mornings and have 3 afternoons of Business English. It follows a 6 week cycle. The minimum booking is 2 weeks and the maximum booking is 6 weeks.

Discover Ireland West for the Over 50s (2 weeks May, June AND September)

Following the huge success of this year's 'Discover Ireland West for the over 50s' Atlantic Language School is offering this course three times in 2008 (May, June and September). Students have the choice of host-family, apartment or hotel.

Other Discover Series

In 2008 we will offer "Discover English through Film", "Discover English through Tourism", or "Discover Ireland's Economic Miracle" as closed groups subject to availability.

International Foundation Year Programme (January and September Start-Business and Management)

To prepare students for entry into an English language based university undergraduate programme, particularly those at the National University of Ireland, Atlantic Language Galway offers the International Foundation Year Programme. Start dates are January and September.

NEW International Junior RESIDENTIAL Summer School in GALWAY Our International Junior Summer School will take place at the National University of Ireland Galway located in the heart of Galway city from July 2008. The school will have residential accommodation on campus. We will also offer some host-family accommodation but places will be limited.
