The International Celta Exam has a great reputation among international employers. 70% of job adverts ask candidates to have a Celta qualification to work as teachers, according to Cambridge English Organization.
If you are a non native-speaker of English who has already got a teaching degree in your home country, the Celta certificate will be the gateway to teach abroad, provided you get a first-hand experience of the English culture.
The course can be taken in many countries. That's great for native speakers who having been brought up in an English-speaking enviroment and want to grab an opportunity to teach English and don't have formal education in that area.
Many years ago I attended micro teaching classes at Minnesotta's University.Although the teacher was excellent, the most striking enrichment was to be exposed to my international classmates English . This allowed me me to become aware of their different accents, something you will be exposed to, if you teach abroad.

Spanish speakers have difficulties pronuncing English words that start in "S" without being preceded by "E" because this is the common pattern in Spanish. Compare the words "español" to "Spanish" or "escuela" to "school."
Italians tend to drop the "H" sound in English because that sound is mute in their own language. For example, the word "hashtag" or "inhabitants" are pronunced without the "H" sound.
